Description
We are conducting a randomized pilot trial to test the feasibility and preliminary effectiveness of a virtual reality experience and a video paired with a short computer game in helping families build healthier habits. Both the virtual reality experience and the video and computer game provide child-friendly health information and psychoeducation regarding nutrition and physical activity.
- This study is for parents/legal guardians, and children who are between the ages of 6 and 12, who both have overweight or obesity.
- This study is primarily conducted on the Washington University School of Medicine campus and will take approximately 1 hour to complete. Additional online follow up surveys will only take a few minutes to complete remotely.
- Participants can earn up to $100 with the chance to win an additional $250.
