Elaine Beulick is a registered dietitian and currently works as a health coach for the TEAM UP study. Elaine received her BS in Nutrition from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio (2019). She then returned home to Saint Louis and completed her Dietetic Internship and MS in Nutrition at Saint Louis University (2021). During her master’s program, she specialized in pediatric medical dietetics and passed her master’s thesis with distinction. Elaine enjoys teaching children and their family members about nutrition and other components of healthy lifestyles. She is passionate about developing and implementing nutrition-related interventions to improve health outcomes among children.


Holley Boeger, MA

Holley has over nine years of experience at Washington University as a Program Manager in the Center of Healthy Weight and Wellness. She received her M.A. in Education from Webster University and her B.A. in Elementary Education from Webster University. Holley has combined her background in education with her passion for healthy eating and physical activity to inspire people to achieve their wellness goals.  She enjoys running, Pilates, and spending time with her husband and six children.


Shaina Costello, MPH

Shaina Costello is a clinical research specialist in the Center for Health Weight and Wellness. After receiving her BS in Brain, Behavior and Cognitive Science from the University of Michigan, she moved to St. Louis where she received her Masters of Public Health degree from Saint Louis University. Shaina has worked at Washington University since 2012 conducting research in health communication, mental health and substance use. She is passionate about childhood obesity prevention and early intervention with children and families.


Maggie Danforth, RD, LD

Maggie Danforth is a Registered Dietitian for MyWay to Health. She received her B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from Missouri State University and completed her dietetic internship at the University of Oklahoma – Health Sciences Center. Maggie earned her Certification in Professional Coaching from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. Maggie has extensive experience in helping folks manage chronic conditions such as heart disease and diabetes. She has also helped individuals using her coaching skills to build a healthy relationship with food and their bodies. Maggie uses her expertise in nutrition, coaching, and mindfulness to empower individuals to access their unique path to wellbeing and self-care. With practical tools and compassionate support, Maggie helps people build a solid foundation for a long, happy, and healthy life.

Tina Day is the Clinical Lab Manager for the Center for Healthy Weight and Wellness. She received her BS in Clinical Research Management from Washington University in St. Louis and has over 19 years of experience in pediatric research. She believes that all children deserve to live a healthy and happy life and is passionate about ensuring that children have access to the quality healthcare that will allow them to do so.


Marie-Laure Firebaugh, LMSW

Marie-Laure Firebaugh is a clinical research specialist in the Center for Healthy Weight and Wellness. She received her Masters of Social Work from Washington University in St Louis in 2013. Her primary focus in the lab is working on the Body U Program, a comprehensive online program for eating disorder screening and intervention for students in the Missouri public universities, funded by the Missouri Eating Disorders Council. In general, she is very interested in how to increase awareness of and prevent the public health problems of eating disorders and obesity.


Sherri Gabbert, PhD

Sherri is a program manager in the lab and brings 25 years of clinical research design, implementation and administration to the CDC grant project “Dissemination and Implementation of an Evidence-Based Pediatric Weight Management Program for Use by Low-Income Families: A User-Friendly Package of Family-Based Behavioral Treatment.” Sherri has a B.S. in Anatomy & Physiology from the University of Texas, Arlington, and a PhD in Comparative Anatomical Sciences and Evolution Theory from Columbia University. She is a big fan of the Texas Rangers and spends her leisure time making sure her goofy standard poodle, Monk, is happy and healthy.


Aubrie Hampp, MSc.

Aubrie Hampp is a research coordinator in the Center for Healthy Weight and Wellness. She graduated with a BA in Psychology from Earlham College in 2014. Aubrie received her MSc. in Social and Applied Psychology from The University of Kent in Canterbury, England. Aubrie’s research has primarily focused on intergroup relations and group processes. She is passionate about eliminating systemic health inequity through the development and dissemination of policy-affective research.

Allie is a Registered Dietitian for My Way to Health. She received her B.S. in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She completed her internship with Georgia Southern University with an emphasis in School Nutrition. Her background is in weight management and Bariatric surgery population. Through evidenced based education and mindful healthy habits, Allie helps individuals to reach their personal health goals.

She primarily works with families enrolled in the TEAM UP program, providing family-based treatment for weight management. Gina completed her MSW at the University of Missouri in Columbia and is now a Licensed Master Social Worker.

Aggie Laboe is a research assistant in the Center for Healthy Weight and Wellness. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame in 2021. Her time in the lab is split between the obesity side and the eating disorder side. On the obesity side, she works as a data assessor with TEAM UP, conducting assessments with families. On the eating disorder side, she coordinates Helping HAND, a project aimed at developing an app for those coming out of acute treatment for AN. In general, she is very interested in prevention and treatment of eating disorders, especially in those on the margins of society.

Angela Lima is a program manager in the Center for Healthy Weight and Wellness. She received her bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics in 2001 and her MBA from Webster University in 2013. Lima’s research interests include increasing access to care, reducing health disparities, improving health literacy, and dissemination and implementation of evidence-based treatment for childhood obesity.


Claire McGinnis, BA

Claire McGinnis is a research assistant in the Center for Healthy Weight and Wellness. She graduated from Kenyon College in 2021 with a BA in Psychology; minors in English and Spanish. While at Kenyon, Claire contributed to multiple research projects ranging from moderating social media influence on body image to gender differences in sexual language use. She was also a four-year varsity letter winner and captain of Kenyon’s field hockey team. In the lab, Claire works with both obesity and eating disorder projects. On the obesity side of the lab, she works as a TEAM UP data assessor, conducting assessments and screening visits with families. On the eating disorder side, she works on Helping HAND, a study focused on developing and testing a mobile health app for individuals recently discharged from acute treatment for AN. She is passionate about eating disorder prevention and treatment and is planning to pursue a doctoral degree in clinical psychology.

In 2019 she earned her Master of Science in Dietetics from Kansas State University. Erin’s passion lies in connecting with others and cultivating a collaborative and realistic approach to nourishing the body.

Corinne McMahon is a Registered Dietitian for TEAM UP where she provides health coaching services for families in the St. Louis area. Corinne received her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Saint Louis University, where she subsequently completed her Dietetic Internship and her Masters in Nutrition. Corinne has always had a passion working with people, especially children. In her current role she is able to use that passion to help clients implement small changes to create a healthier, more mindful, lifestyle.

Kirsten Mesey is a clinical research coordinator in the Center for Healthy Weight and Wellness. She received her Masters of Science in Applied Health Behavior Research from Washington University School of Medicine in 2020. Kirsten works on the TEAM UP Study, a pragmatic study looking at weight management counseling in the pediatric primary care setting. She has enjoyed working in the pediatric setting and is planning to pursue medical school where she hopes to become a physician in pediatric care.


Jillian Shah, BS

Jillian Shah is a National Institute of Mental Health Diversity Supplement Scholar in the Center for Healthy Weight and Wellness. She received her BS from Washington University in 2021 with a major in Biology and a minor in Medical Humanities. She was an undergraduate mentee of Ms. Melissa Vázquez and both now collaborate as investigators in our lab. She is passionate about exploring and designing interventions that will bridge disparities in access to mental health treatments. Jillian trains primarily on our iAIM EDU study and our eating disorder chatbot study. She continues to train under the guidance of Ms. Vázquez, Dr. Wilfley, Dr. Fitzsimmons-Craft, and Ms. Firebaugh.

Lisa Tigges, MS, RD, LD

Lisa Tigges is a Registered Dietitian with a passion for healthy, delicious eating. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with a Culinary Emphasis from Saint Louis University, where she subsequently completed her Dietetic Internship. Upon graduating, she relocated to Washington D.C. to work at a non-profit organization providing nutrition and meal support to individuals challenged with life-threatening illnesses. Lisa later pursued a master’s degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Alabama and returned to St. Louis to work at Washington University School of Medicine. As the lead dietitian for the MyWay to Health employee wellness program at WashU, Lisa empowers individuals with nutrition knowledge and kitchen confidence to help individuals discover their personal path to wellness.

Reshaunda Thornton is a Registered Dietitian for MyWay to Health.  She received a B.S. in Biology (plus a minor in Psychology) at Stephen F. Austin University.  She moved to St. Louis to complete her second B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics at Kansas State University and dietetic internship at Iowa State University.  Reshaunda also earned her M.S. in Human Nutrition with an emphasis on Human Performance at Logan University.  As a specialist in sports dietetics, Reshaunda is passionate about physical activity and emphasizes the importance of proper nutrition—which includes not only fueling and feeding our bodies but also building a healthy relationship with food.
